Safety Essentials for Handling Lithium Battery Fire Accidents in Production and Storage Use Sites (1)
2021-01-09

Occurs in production and warehouse use sitesLithium battery fireThe main points of accident handling safety, then I will tell you about it:

1. The vehicle stops

(1) It is strictly forbidden to stop on soft or weak roadbed areas.

(2) It must be kept a safe distance from the fire-fighting building and face the evacuation direction.

(3) The elevator fire truck must be parked on a flat and solid ground with no obstacles in the air.

Article 2. Personal protection

(1) When fighting a fire, firefighters must take personal safety protection. Wear basic protective equipment such as cotton anti-static underwear, fire protective clothing, fire helmet, gloves, boots, headgear, and air breathing apparatus.

(2) When entering a high temperature, strong heat radiation or explosion hazard area, you must wear fireproof isolation clothing, fireproof clothing or explosion-proof clothing.

(3) When entering the living area to fight, you must wear protective equipment such as electrical insulating clothing, insulating boots, insulating gloves, and carry leakage detectors, insulating rubber pads, grounding wires (rods) and other equipment.

Article 3: Fire Reconnaissance

The reconnaissance team shall have no less than 3 persons and shall be led by a commander. It is strictly forbidden to act alone. Complicated scenes must be guided by the internal staff of the unit.

(1) Before entering the fire-fighting building for survey, the strength of the building structure should be evaluated to ensure that there is no danger of collapse before entering.

(2) When security personnel enter the fire fighting building for reconnaissance, they should check personal protective equipment, register their name, entry and exit time, air (oxygen) respirator pressure, etc. At the entrance and exit, carry thermometers, combustible gas detectors and other equipment, make full use of terrain and ground objects, and be close to the load-bearing structure shelter to prevent falling objects from hurting people.

(3) The temperature and flammable gas concentration in the accident area should be continuously monitored. When the following explosion symptoms occur, an evacuation should be organized immediately:

1. There was no open flame in the accident building, and heavy smoke came out of doors and windows;

2. The temperature of the lithium battery rises sharply in the accident area, and a lot of smoke emerges;

3. The combustible gas detector alarms.
